Ark-La-Tex Ragin' Cajun Club

Atlanta Ragin’ Cajun Club

The Atlanta Ragin’ Cajun Club hosted their 31st Annual Alumni Crawfish Boil on April 21, 2018. Tons of Atlanta Ragin’ Cajuns attended the crawfish boil with their friends and family and special guest Coach Bob Marlin. The crawfish boil was held at Atlanta Waterworks Park. Crawfish and jambalaya were served, along with hot dogs and hamburgers for those that did not eat seafood. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success. View the photos here!

 

B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration Alumni Chapter

The B.I. Moody III College of Business Alumni Chapter is hosting a crawfish boil at the Alumni Center on Saturday, May 5. Come out and meet the dean, Dr. J. Bret Becton and network with alumni. Crawfish will be available for $30 per person. This includes 4 lbs. of crawfish, corn, potatoes and beverages. For those who don't want crawfish, jambalaya is also available for $10 per person.

 

Communication Alumni Chapter

The Communication Alumni Chapter is hosting a tailgate party before the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team takes on in-state rival ULM on May 19 from 1-2:30pm. The tailgate is free to attend and will take place near the Oak Tree located along Bertrand Dr. Look for the Alumni Association's white tent. Light snacks and beverages will be available. General admission parking is available in the general parking lots. Need game tickets? $4 group seating along the third base line will be available to the first 50 to claim them. Tickets must be purchased at the Cajundome Box Office beforehand or the day of the game. Use group code Communication Alumni.

 

Emerald Coast Ragin’ Cajuns Club

The Emerald Coast Ragin' Cajun Club hosted their third annual crawfish boil on Saturday, April 28 at the Shoreline Park Pavilion with special guest Jennifer LeMeunier, executive director of the Alumni Association. Crawfish was served along with hot dogs for the kids. We would like to thank everyone who made this event a success.

 

Golden Ambassadors Society

Graduates from the Class of 1968 will be having their Golden Reunion from May 9-11, 2018.   Graduates are welcomed back to campus to rekindle those memories of days at USL. Join us for a weekend filled with reminiscing, learning and just plain fun. Registration deadline is Friday, May 5, 2018.

 

Gridiron Alumni Chapter

Members of the Gridiron Alumni Chapter and their guests attended a Meet 'N Greet with the new head coach of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Football, Billy Napier, held at the Alumni Center on April 20. The informal meeting was a great way for past football players to meet with the new head coach and share stories.

 

New Orleans & Northshore Ragin Cajun Clubs

The New Orleans and Northshore Ragin' Cajun Clubs will be co-hosting their alumni crawfish boil on Saturday, May 12. Come out with alumni and meet Athletic Director, Dr. Bryan Maggard, and Head Football Coach, Billy Napier. Crawfish will be available for $30 per person. For those who don't want crawfish, hot dogs and chips are also available for $5 per person. Serving will be from 3-5 p.m.

 

Sigma Nu Alumni Chapter

The Sigma Nu Alumni Chapter and the collegiate chapter recently cohosted a unique and memorable evening to celebrate the life of Sawyer Allums.  On Monday, April 23, a special mass was celebrated by Fr. Bryce Sibley at Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church and a catered reception was held immediately following, across the street at the Alumni Center. Sawyer was the son of Rob Allums and the grandson of Hub Allums, both alumni of the chapter, and was posthumously initiated as the first third generation member of UL Lafayette’s Eta Nu chapter. A brief program was presided over by Tanner Choate, Commander of the active chapter, and commemorative plaques were presented to the two Allums’ households. Another will be permanently displayed at the chapter house. Over 150 alumni, family, friends and collegiates were in attendance for this truly special event. View the photos here.

 

Washington D.C. Ragin’ Cajun Club

Join the Washington D.C. Ragin' Cajun Club and nine other Louisiana university alumni for the largest crawfish boil east of Louisiana on June 10. Over 10,000 lbs. of crawfish brought in from Louisiana, 50 kegs of beer, tons of jambalaya, a live Louisiana band, and more. All Louisiana alumni chapters are welcome to join.

 

Young Alumni Chapter

The UL Lafayette Young Alumni Chapter and The 705 are teaming up for a crawfish boil. Join them on May 17, 2018 at the Alumni Center for drinks, crawfish, and networking! The boil starts at 5:30 p.m. and is $30 per person. Crawfish is only guaranteed to those who register online before May 14, so don't delay!
