Legislative Relations
The University of Louisiana is a state-supported institution. It must open and maintain lines of communication with those individuals and groups who make decisions on the use of public funds. The Alumni Association conducts the University's Legislative Relations program with the direction and close scrutiny of the University President and the Vice President for University Advancement.
The Legislative Relations Committee is responsible for presenting the University's legislative package prior to each legislative session, sponsoring activities and legislative information sessions and through direct personal contact with legislators through the alumni network.
