Give the gift of UL Lafayette tradition with Walk of Honor replica bricks

Alumni and friends can bring a piece of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette home through a Walk of Honor commemorative brick this holiday season. 

These replica bricks represent the ones found on UL Lafayette’s Walk of Honor — the continuously updated walkway on campus that features the names of more than 120,000 alumni who graduated from the University. Through a collaboration with Awardmaster, a Lafayette company that produces the personalized replica bricks, alumni can take this unique tradition home with them or even gift a paver to a loved one. 

Marie DesOrmeaux Centanni, president of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association, thinks that these replica bricks are the perfect present this holiday season.

“This is a thoughtful way of giving a little piece of personal history. It's almost as if you are re-awarding the honor of graduation and all the memories it generates,” she said. “A replica brick isn't the kind of thing most people would buy for themselves, so it's incredibly touching to receive this memento.”

The replica bricks cost $90 with a University-branded stand or $75 for the brick alone. Graduates from any year are eligible to buy one, as are family members or friends. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Alumni Association.

“Not only does purchasing a replica brick give the recipient a personal gift, but it is also a tangible way of supporting your Alumni Association and the important work it does unifying our global Ragin' Cajuns family, connecting students and young grads with alumni, employers and mentors who can help them walk their own path as proud UL Lafayette alumni,” Centanni said.
