Football season brings new tailgating location, watch parties and more

Football season is here and that means tailgating is back in action! The UL Lafayette Alumni Association is excited to bring back tailgating for every home football game this year at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium. A new year means improvements and additions to bring the best possible experience to our alumni and fans. Here’s what you need to know to get ready to tailgate with us during the 2024 Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns football season!
Tailgate Location
- Our tailgate area has moved to a new and improved location in Russo Park this year. Guests can now enter through the Russo Park main entrance and proceed to our visible check-in area before entering the right-side concourse for tailgating.
- Admission for home tailgates is $25 per person with free entry for children 12 and under.
- Current Loyalty Fund donors of $50 or more get in free for the entire season. All Loyalty Fund memberships and benefits, including tailgate access, now run from July 1 through June 30. Don’t forget to make your annual Loyalty Fund gift today to have access to our alumni tailgate for the entire season.
- If you’re a current Loyalty Fund donor, you can use the GeauxU app for an even quicker check-in process. Screenshot your Loyalty Fund card in your mobile wallet to breeze through our designated check-in tent and head straight into tailgating.
- Please remember that Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium is a cashless venue. Payment options for tailgate admission or Loyalty Fund renewals include credit and debit cards, Venmo, PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
- Don’t forget our tailgate area opens three hours before kickoff at every home football game throughout the season.
Tailgate Menu
Even though our tailgating location has changed, you can still expect the same great offerings like delicious Louisiana food and cold drinks.
- We’re continuing to offer a variety of menu options this year at every home football game, including jambalaya, pastalaya and gumbo.

Watch Parties
If you can’t make it to Lafayette for a home football game this year, don’t worry! Our Ragin’ Cajun Clubs are excited to host watch parties nationwide so you can still cheer on the Ragin’ Cajuns with other alumni and friends. From Colorado to Chicago, there’s a watch party for everyone. View our full list of upcoming events here to make sure you know when a watch party will be in your city.
Whether you’re cheering on the Ragin’ Cajuns at one of our many watch parties or joining us for our home football game tailgates, we can’t wait to host our fans for an experience they are sure to remember!
