How to get ready for tailgating with the Alumni Association

The Alumni Association is bringing back its Alumni Hospitality Tailgate for the 2021 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football season. After a year without cracklin' and cold drinks, the Alumni Association is ready to welcome you back to our tailgate. We know it's been a while since you tailgated with us, so here are three things that you need to know to get ready for this season! Grab your favorite Ragin' Cajuns shirt and get ready to eat some jambalaya because tailgating is back!

Location, Location, Location

If you want to come to our Alumni Hospitality Tailgate, you need to know where it is! Find our tailgate area in the Soccer/Track facility parking lot on Reinhardt Drive. You'll also see a huge white tent, lots of people, and signage pointing out the tailgate. If you get lost, you should be able to follow the smell of jambalaya to our tailgate tent. You can also call or email our office the week before a tailgate if you have any location questions.

Alumni Loyalty Fund Members

One way to make sure you have a spot at our tailgate the entire season is to make your annual gift to the Alumni Loyalty Fund. Loyalty Fund donors of $50 or more get in for free. That's right—that means free jambalaya, cold drinks, and cracklin' for every home football game. If you haven't made an Alumni Loyalty Fund donation, entry is $15 per person. Children under 18 with an adult get in free.

GeauxU 

The last thing you need to get ready for tailgating this season is to download the GeauxU mobile app. Available for Apple and Android devices, GeauxU contains a digital wallet that shows your Loyalty Fund Donor status. When checking in to our tailgate, click on your Loyalty Fund Donor card, and a volunteer will scan your card, allowing you to enter. Once you're in, you're free to enjoy our tailgate for three hours before kickoff. With GeauxU, checking in to our tailgate is easier than ever before! The Alumni Association is so excited to bring back tailgating this year, and we can't wait to see you there!
