UL Lafayette to host university-wide giving day on March 10

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette community is coming together for the future of the institution. On March 10, UL Lafayette will host a university-wide giving day. Alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends will unite to expand possibilities and ensure the University's future success.
During UL Lafayette's Giving Day, supporters will have the opportunity to give back to several different areas within the institution ranging from academics, the arts, athletics, and alumni programming. Ragin' Cajuns can also participate in UL Lafayette's Giving Day by sharing their pride for the University on social media and spreading the word about this event with their friends and family.
Current UL Lafayette student, Kathryn Boone, is excited to see so many people come together for Giving Day. "I think it's important because it's a day that celebrates generosity," said Boone. As a UL Lafayette Student Philanthropy Ambassador, Boone has had the opportunity to help support giving at the University by reaching out to alumni and friends through phone calls and texting. Through this experience, she's not only helped raise funds for the institution but has also learned more about what makes the University so unique from alumni. "When alumni tell me their stories about their time at UL Lafayette, it really makes me appreciate the University," said Boone.
As a student philanthropy ambassador, Boone has also learned that giving can come in many different shapes and sizes. "Small gifts can add up to reach larger goals," said Boone. On UL Lafayette's Giving Day, Boone wants alumni to remember that any size gift can significantly impact the University.
One of the areas to support during UL Lafayette's Giving Day will be the Alumni Association. Your gift can directly help the Alumni Association continue to fulfill its mission of keeping alumni connected to their alma mater. Gifts made on March 10 designated to the Alumni Association support engagement initiatives such as alumni programming, reunions, and regional events.
