Alumni Band
The chapter reunited for their Alumni Band Weekend on November 24-25. Alumni band members were invited to a Friday Night Social at Pete’s and tailgated under the Alumni Association’s tent the following day. The band ended their weekend with 48 musicians performing on the field at Cajun Field during halftime of the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and Georgia Southern football game.
College of Engineering Alumni Chapter
The College of Engineering Alumni Chapter returned to campus for Homecoming Weekend. The chapter kicked off the weekend with a Friday Night Social at Don’s. On Saturday, alumni were invited to the Homecoming Open House at the Alumni Center, followed by a tour of Madison Hall and tailgating at Cajun Field before the game.
College of Nursing & Allied Health Professionals Alumni Chapter
The College of Nursing class of 1977 celebrated their 40th reunion on Saturday, December 2. The reunion, held at the Alumni Center, had 30 alumni in attendance.
The College of Nursing & Allied Health Professionals Alumni Chapter also invited all graduates to tailgate with the Alumni Association on Homecoming Day.
Communications Alumni Chapter
The Communications Alumni Chapter held its first event under new president, Sara Moore Bourque ’12. The chapter hosted a mixer at Corner Bar on Thursday, November 9 with 12 alumni in attendance.
Ragin’ Cajuns Lettermen Club
The Ragin’ Cajuns Lettermen Club hosted the annual Hall of Fame Induction reception on Friday, November 17 at Russo Park. Over 125 people attended the event to welcome student-athlete inductees Lacy Bertucci Sharp (softball), Kim Perrot (basketball, posthumously), Dion Brown (basketball), Johnathan Lucroy (baseball), and Jojo Harris (track) along with administrative inductees Sherry LeBas (women's athletics), Danny Cottonham (students-academic advisor), and John Porche (director of athletics training).
West Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun Club
The West Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun Club has a new president in Steve LeBlanc. Under his leadership, the club has already hosted two events this fall.
Ragin’ Cajuns gathered in Lake Charles on Nov. 2 at Crying Eagle Brewing Company for a casual social to get things started. Over 40 alumni and their guests showed up. The club met again for a Christmas Party on Dec. 19. Alumni celebrated the holidays at Delano Wine Bar and helped support Toys for Tots in the spirit of giving.
Young Alumni Chapter
The Young Alumni Chapter held its annual Young Alumni Pub Crawl downtown during Homecoming. Over 100 young alumni signed up for the crawl where they snagged deals at Legends Dowtown, The Wurst Biergarten and Jefferson Street Pub.
