Homecoming week at UL Lafayette is a tradition, unlike any other.
A new year means new beginnings, new resolutions, and new ways for you to get involved with the Alumni Association. Our Ragin’ Cajun nation is continuously growing, which means that we are welcoming more and more graduates each year into our alumni family. As your life begins to unfold, you may end up staying close to your roots or moving to a completely new place. Regardless of where your journey takes you, we want to make sure that you stay connected with us along the way. Here are three ways that you can get involved with the Alumni Association this year.
Find an Alumni Chapter or Ragin’ Cajun Club near You
The best part of our alumni family is that we are connected across the country. Our Alumni Chapters and Ragin’ Cajun Clubs are alumni organizations whose base of membership is derived from a specific college or geographic region, respectively. That means that if you move to Atlanta, Georgia, you can join our Atlanta Ragin’ Cajun Club. If you studied engineering at the University, you can join our College of Engineering Alumni Chapter. Visit our website to view a full list of our Ragin’ Cajun Clubs and Alumni Chapters.
Stay Social with Us
Another great way to find out what fun things are happening at the Alumni Association is to follow us on social media. Whether it is through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube, we want to make sure that you have a way to stay connected with us at your fingertips. But most importantly, we want to be social with you on social media. Don’t hesitate to send us a message or comment on a post with what is going on in your world. You could share a memory of being on campus, accolades that you’ve recently received or simply some positive motivation for your fellow Ragin’ Cajuns. And remember those Alumni Chapters and Ragin’ Cajuns Clubs? Most of them have individual Facebook Groups that you can join too. This allows you to get more connected to the clubs and chapters that are of interest to you.
Attend Our Events
Now that you know how to stay connected with us, we want to meet in person! We’re always hosting events such as watch parties, mixers, and even more formal gatherings such as our upcoming Camellia Tea or Spring Gala. For our out-of-state Ragin’ Cajuns, we will be hosting crawfish boils across the country this spring. Be on the lookout for details about these crawfish boils and special events to come. So next time you’re looking for something to do, check and see if the Alumni Association has any events going on. We’re excited for what the future holds for 2019 and even more excited that you get to be a part of this Ragin’ Cajun family with us.
