Tue, 03/06/2018 - 5:13pmWhether you’ve just walked across the stage or are getting ready to celebrate your Golden Reunion, it’s never too late to get involved with your alma mater. The best part is that with our new all-inclusive membership structure, everyone is a member of the Alumni Association. Yes, we mean everyone! Now what makes this so special? Here are five reasons why it’s awesome to be a Ragin’ Cajun graduate and Alumni Association member.
1. Networking, Networking, and…More Networking
You never know where a current connection might lead in the future. The Alumni Association has 19 Alumni Chapters and 23 Ragin’ Cajun Clubs that offer tons of opportunities to mingle with fellow alumni. From crawfish boils to football watch parties, there are plenty of ways to expand your network just by getting involved!
2. Indeed.com: Ragin’ Cajun Edition
As a member of the Alumni Association, you have full access to the Office of Career Services. This means access to events like career fairs and recruitment opportunities. It also means access to an enormous job database where you can find the job of your dreams!
3. Discounts Galore
Did someone say saving money? The Red Dot Discount Program offers alumni local and national discounts to restaurants, retail, and even gym memberships. Check out the full list of discounts on our website to see where you can start saving!
4. Events #All-Day #Everyday
Ragin’ Cajuns like to have a good time! That’s why the Alumni Association offers several ticketed special events like bus trips, travel opportunities, and socials for different interests. Make sure to stay up-to-date with our news and events so you won’t miss out on the fun!
5. We Are Family
The best part about being a member of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association is that you are a part of the Ragin’ Cajun Family forever. No matter where your life may take you, you always have a home here with us. Once you’re a Ragin’ Cajun, you’re always a Ragin’ Cajun!
