The University of Louisiana at Lafayette community is coming together for the institution’s future. On Thursday, March 9, 2023, UL Lafayette will host a university-wide giving day. Alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents, and students will come together to celebrate philanthropy and unite to expand the possibilities of the University.

During UL Lafayette’s Giving Day, supporters will have the opportunity to give back to several areas within the institution ranging from academics, the arts, athletics, and alumni programming. Ragin’ Cajuns can also participate in UL Lafayette’s Giving Day by sharing their pride for the University on social media and spreading the word about the event with their family and friends.

Stacey Flanagan, executive director of development, is excited about the possibilities surrounding UL Lafayette’s Giving Day. “This day is all about participation. This annual tradition creates an energy and excitement around giving back to the University. It is a day dedicated to showing your love for the University,” Flanagan said.

This day of giving will also hugely impact UL Lafayette’s comprehensive fundraising campaign. Together: The Campaign for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is the largest single fundraising initiative in University history. “All gifts made on UL Lafayette’s Giving Day will count toward the Together Campaign. No matter the gift size, you are making an immediate difference for the students, faculty, and programs at the University,” Flanagan said.

The Alumni Association will also be present during UL Lafayette’s Giving Day. Gifts made to the Alumni Association will support engagement initiatives such as alumni programming, reunions, and regional events. Amy Armstrong, associate vice president for alumni engagement and chief executive officer of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association, hopes all alumni will get involved with this initiative.

“UL Lafayette’s Giving Day is extremely important. When alumni around the world come together, we can make our University even better for the next generation of Ragin’ Cajuns,” Armstrong said.

Join our University community on March 9 as we come together and build a stronger tomorrow for all Ragin’ Cajuns. With your support, we can ensure that UL Lafayette’s future is bright.
