A partnership with GO NEXT Travel gives our alumni adventurers even more opportunities to travel. Through GO NEXT, Louisiana state colleges such as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, the University of New Orleans, Northwestern State University, Louisiana Tech University, McNeese State University and Nicholls State University have joined efforts for the following All-Louisiana Alumni Cruises:

Majestic Vistas • October 27-November 4, 2019

Venice to Rome

Explore ancient cities and alluring architecture, as you set sail across the Ionian Sea. Embark Marina in Venice, and sail to Dubrovnik an ancient walled city on the Dalmatian Coast that retains its centuries-long allure. View Venetian architecture in Kotor and opulent baroque landmarks in Valletta. Stroll through Messina, a lovely medieval city, rich with history and famous for a cathedral where Richard the Lionheart worshipped in 1190. Before returning to Rome, rejoice in Naples, home to world-class dining, fascinating museums, and treasures such as the Farnese Bull, or observe the ruins of ancient Pompeii, a vast archaeological site, standing in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius.

Gems of the Danube – Scenic • August 19-27, 2020

Budapest to Nuremberg

Board the luxurious Scenic Amber in Budapest and enjoy a welcome reception where you’ll raise your glass to the exciting days ahead. Travel to Budapest and uncover the city’s history on a guided tour that includes a piano concert or hike to Buda Hill for breathtaking views over the Danube. Cruise the river to Vienna and sip a glass of Austrian Sekt inside Palais Liechtenstein. Enjoy a private Viennese concert featuring the timeless music of Strauss and Mozart. The next day, tour Bratislava Castle or Schönbrunn Palace. Alternatively, visit the Belvedere Museum, which houses one of the greatest collections of Austrian art, including works by Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. Stop in Dürnstein and embark on a guided bike ride along the river to Melk or opt to continue to Melk via ship and visit a local winery or experience the eighteenth-century Benedictine abbey on a guided tour. Next, travel to Linz and take an excursion to the medieval Czech town of Ceský Krumlov and discover its UNESCO World Heritage site. Or, journey to Salzburg and explore the birthplace of Mozart and the city backdrop for the film The Sound of Music. Your voyage will conclude in Nuremberg, but before that, stroll through Regensburg on a walking tour or journey by ferry to Weltenburg Abbey where you can sample beer from one of the oldest monastic breweries in the world. Enhance your experience with the optional Go Next Oberammergau & Munich Post-Cruise Program (one night near Oberammergau with admission to the Passion Play, three nights near Munich) or the Prague Post-Cruise Program.
